Now accepting registrations for the 2013/14 School Year

New families are welcome at our Open House on Wed. Feb. 13 from 5:30 - 7:30. Registration packages will be available that evening and anytime at our front office. We are often asked, "When is the Registration Deadline?" Registrations are welcome for the upcoming school year at any time, but as we plan it is best to know our enrolment numbers. We appreciate families registering before the end of March. Thank you. Next year we will be offering education up to and including Grade 6, as well as French Immersion for Kindergarten and Grade 1.

About Us

Morinville Public Elementary School is the new choice for public education in Morinville. We offer programming for preschool aged children in our Headstart and Preschool Enrichment Program (PEP) classes. Currently for school aged children we serve students from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Last year was our first year in operation and we provided education to 92 students from preschool to grade 4. 2012-2013 is our second year and our enrolment is almost 280 students from preschool to grade 5. Next year will see more growth as we expand to grade 6. All grade level teachers are working toward engaging students in the innovative Reggio Emilia approach to learning. This visionary approach to teaching puts the natural development and curiosity of children at its centre. Programs are developed to guide and facilitate meaningful learning experiences. This type of teaching keeps our students excited about their classes and enthusiastic about coming to school. The staff is dedicated to providing quality education in a safe and caring environment. We look forward to growing our school community and expanding to serve students in more grade levels.
